About the Client:

We're seeking a compassionate caregiver for a client living independently in uptown Toronto (Yonge and Eglinton area). The client lives alone in a small bachelor apartment and values their independence while recognizing the need for support with daily tasks. They experience mobility challenges that affect walking and standing, and require assistance with transfers. The client has recently experienced concerning muscle spasms that have required medical attention, though they are managing these with medication. They prefer a calm, respectful presence and appreciate having their own space, so visits should be efficient and focused.

Responsibilities:

- Light housekeeping including cleaning and laundry
- Bathroom cleaning and maintaining tidy living spaces
- Taking out recycling and trash
- Meal preparation (approximately once weekly)
- Light dish washing
- Mobility support including assistance with walking and transfers
- Personal care assistance with bathing and dressing
- Providing companionship while respecting the client's need for independence

What We're Looking For:

- Experience with mobility assistance and safe transfer techniques
- Comfortable providing personal care support including bathing assistance
- Patient, calm demeanor with excellent communication skills
- Reliable and consistent with scheduled visits
- Takes initiative and brings positive energy
- Respects client independence and personal space
- English speaking




- Understanding of clients with anxiety and the importance of boundaries
- Ability to work efficiently within shorter visit windows

Schedule:

Twice weekly visits, 2 hours per visit (4 hours total weekly). Days and times are flexible and can be arranged to suit the caregiver's availability, with the client able to accommodate various scheduling options. The client is open to Monday/Wednesday, Wednesday/Friday, or other twice-weekly arrangements. Preferred timeframe is generally between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM, though this can be adjusted based on mutual availability.

This is a three-month commitment starting after the holiday period, with potential for extension based on fit and client needs.
