Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Process Engineer to support the design, simulation, and execution of natural gas and NGL processing facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process engineering and steady-state simulation, with hands-on experience delivering feasibility studies, FEED, and detailed engineering for gas processing projects.

This role focuses on process design and optimization, including gas dehydration systems (TEG and/or molecular sieve), compression, NGL recovery, and fractionation. The Senior Process Engineer will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop technically sound, safe, and efficient process solutions in compliance with applicable industry codes and standards.

Responsibilities

- Develop, analyze, and optimize gas processing process designs from feasibility through detailed engineering (IFC)
- Build and maintain steady-state process simulations using tools such as Aspen HYSYS and/or ProMax
- Design and integrate gas dehydration systems, including molecular sieve and/or TEG dehydration, within broader gas processing facilities
- Prepare and review process deliverables, including PFDs, heat and material balances, P&IDs;, and process descriptions
- Perform process equipment sizing and specification for vessels, columns, exchangers, compressors, dehydration packages, and associated systems
- Support PSV sizing, flare and relief system design, line sizing, and hydraulic calculations
- Prepare equipment datasheets, RFQs, and participate in technical bid evaluations and vendor reviews
- Participate in process safety studies (HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, SIL)
- Support fabrication reviews, package walkdowns, commissioning,



and start-up activities as required
- Collaborate with mechanical, piping, instrumentation, electrical, and project engineering teams to ensure coordinated design execution
- Provide technical guidance, peer reviews, and mentorship to junior process engineers and EITs

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline
- 10+ years of experience in process engineering, with a strong focus on gas processing facilities
- Proven experience delivering process simulation and design work across feasibility, FEED, and detailed engineering phases
- Hands-on experience with gas dehydration systems (TEG and/or molecular sieve)
- Strong proficiency with Aspen HYSYS and/or ProMax
- Solid understanding of gas compression, NGL recovery, fractionation, and utility systems
- Experience preparing and reviewing PFDs, P&IDs;, HMBs, calculations, and datasheets
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards (API, ASME, GPSA, CSA)
- P.Eng. registration (APEGA)
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and coordinate across multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimization, safety, and design quality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay: $120,000.00-$160,000.00 per year
