The Role

We’re looking for experienced Home Support Workers to provide one-on-one personal care and homemaking support to clients in their homes. You’ll help clients stay safe, comfortable and independent while respecting their dignity, routines and preferences.

Responsibilities

- Assist with personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, oral care and continence care
- Support safe mobility, transfers and repositioning
- Provide meal preparation, feeding assistance and hydration support
- Complete homemaking tasks: light housekeeping, laundry, linen changes and grocery shopping
- Support medication reminders and assistance as per care plan and agency policy




- Observe and report changes in client condition, behaviour or workplace
- Complete accurate, timely documentation and visit notes
- Follow infection control, safety and privacy standards



Requirements

- Health Care Assistant (HCA), Community Support Worker (CSW), Personal Support Worker (PSW), Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a care aide or home support worker
- Community / home care experience required
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle for travel between client homes
- Current CPR and First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
- Clear Criminal Record Check (vulnerable sector)
- BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry registration (where applicable)
- Strong communication skills and a respectful, client-centred approach
