Your Opportunity!
Bauman Manufacturing is recruiting for a Full-Time Mechanical Design Technician to join our manufacturing facility in Elmira (relocating to Listowel in mid-2027). You will be responsible for the design of current and modification of existing products to best meet our high-quality standards and customers’ needs.
Key Responsibilities and Skills:
· Design and create detailed dimensional drawings of agricultural equipment; design and create custom drawings as needed
· Make modifications to existing drawings
· Use an innovative and creative approach to brainstorm ideas for new products
· Create and distribute shop orders and other project documentation to production teams
· Liaise with members of the sales and production teams to best meet our customers’ needs and quality standards
· Provide support to production teams on an as needed basis
· Other duties, as assigned
Job Requirements:
· College diploma in a related discipline or equivalent experience
· Minimum 2 years’ experience working with SolidWorks
· Working knowledge/experience in metal fabrication
· The ability to apply theoretical concepts toward practical results
· Familiarity with design concepts as they relate to a manufacturing environment
· Creative, analytical, and innovative thinker
· The ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Effective time management skills; the ability to effectively prioritize tasks based on operational requirements and project deadlines
· A strong attention to detail and organization skills
· Strong verbal and written communication
