Position Title: Security Guard

Pay Rate: $21.00 - $32.00 / hour

Site Overview

Paladin Security is expanding services across the East Kootenay Region, supporting diverse client environments in Cranbrook, Sparwood, Elkford, and Fernie. Our guards work across healthcare facilities, educational campuses, industrial sites, mobile patrols, and community events, serving as trusted safety partners and helpful ambassadors for our clients and community.

What You'll Be Doing

- Provide a visible, professional security presence to maintain a protected environment for all client personnel, visitors, and members of the public.

- Patrol assigned site premises, monitor access control points, and identify or report any safety hazards or security concerns.

- Respond promptly, calmly, and professionally to alarms, site incidents, and emergency situations.

- Upkeep and enforce client site rules, safety regulations, and operational procedures.

- Write and complete explicit, accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation.

- Deliver excellent customer service while assisting visitors and staff with inquiries.

Must Haves

- Valid British Columbia Security License.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.

- Proven ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.

- Physical capability to stand, walk, and perform mobile checks for extended periods.

- Flexible availability, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice-to-Haves

- Basic Occupational First Aid (OFA) certification.

- Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License with access to a reliable vehicle.

- Prior experience in customer service or security roles.
