Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly, skilled, and patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate is passionate about preventive dentistry, oral health education, and delivering exceptional patient care in a professional and welcoming dental office environment.

This part-time position offers a consistent schedule with Fridays and select Saturdays, making it an excellent opportunity for a hygienist seeking a predictable, limited-hours commitment.

Work Schedule:

- Every Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Two Saturdays per month: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., excluding long weekends and the months of July and August.

We are looking for a dependable skilled who takes pride in clinical excellence, patient education, and helping patients maintain healthy smiles.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform professional teeth debridement, teeth whitening procedures, and periodontal maintenance.
- Assist with dental examinations and identify oral health concerns.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive dental care.
- Take digital dental radiographs in accordance with applicable regulations and clinical protocols.
- Capture intraoral images as required.
- Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants when indicated.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date patient records using Dentrix software.
- Provide dental hygiene care to patients of various ages, including children.
- Support orthodontic-related care and other clinical procedures as required.




- Follow infection prevention and control protocols and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
- Deliver excellent customer service and contribute to a positive patient experience.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Current registration in good standing with the applicable provincial dental hygiene regulatory college.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent chairside manner and a compassionate, patient-centred approach.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, preventive dentistry, and oral health education.
- Familiarity with digital dental radiographs, intraoral imaging, and electronic dental records.
- Experience with Dentrix software is preferred.
- Experience working with patients of various ages is an asset.
- Previous dental assisting experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a cooperative dental team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
