BEAM Pharmacy is an independent community pharmacy in Markham, Ontario. As our pharmacy continues to grow, including our expanding veterinary pharmacy services through BEAM Pets, we are looking for a Full time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team.

This position involves a variety of day-to-day pharmacy operations, including prescription processing, medication preparation, customer service, inventory management, and general pharmacy support. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, tech-savvy, eager to learn, and committed to providing excellent customer service.

Fluency in spoken Mandarin and English is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with prescription processing, data entry, and insurance billing using Kroll pharmacy software
- Prepare, count, label, and package medications for pharmacist verification
- Assist customers with prescription drop-offs, pickups, and general inquiries
- Answer phone calls and provide professional customer service
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications
- Prepare prescription orders for pickup, delivery, and shipping
- Maintain a clean, organized,



and efficient pharmacy workspace
- Perform other general pharmacy duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

- Fluent in spoken Mandarin and English (mandatory) — must be comfortable communicating professionally with patients and customers in both languages
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service and telephone communication skills
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using computers, digital tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Reliable, organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently after training and collaboratively as part of a team

Assets:

- Previous experience working in a community or retail pharmacy
- Experience with Kroll pharmacy software.
- Fluent or conversational in Cantonese

Pay: $19.00–$22.00 per hour, negotiable based on relevant experience and qualifications.
