Position Overview
DESCRIPTION:

The main responsibilities of this position consist of transport patients, specimens, mail, wheel chairs, stretchers, equipment and soon medication etc. from all hospital services.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Personal Support Worker (P.S.W.) Certificate orequivalent.
- Previous experience as a porter is preferred
- Must have exceptional initiative, tact and good interpersonal relations
- Must be physically fit to lift and carry objects and transport patients in wheelchairs and on stretchers.
- This position requires the incumbent to walk extensively.
- Must be bilingual.
- C.P.R.
- Using AIDET in communication
- Must have a good attendance profile
- Satisfactory review of the Human resources file
- Must demonstrate positive attitude and compliant with HGH’s values

HOURS OF WORK:
Temporary part time – 0.4 FTE

- Day, Evening and weekends shifts
