3 Main positions/duties are available:

1. cashier/order reception

2. donair and sandwich cook

3. kitchen helper

As a Cashier team member, you’ll support customers with friendly, efficient service while processing purchases accurately. This role combines cashiering, retail sales, product guidance, and merchandising in a customer-facing, quick food setting.

As a donair and sandwich cook, you'll have to prep various menu items such as donair, shawarma, hamburgers, sandwichs, etc. This role requires multitasking and friendly service as customers may ask questions while you are prepping another food item.

As a kitchen helper, you'll be responsible for all other food items such as fries, salads, hot dogs, etc. This role requires multitasking, time and task management, as well as familiarity with various commercial products such as fryers, air fryers, crockpots, microwaves, etc.

Located in the food court of Canada Place building, downtown. Pedways from Churchill Station directly into the building.

Work Hours: 9:30am - 3:30pm, weekdays only.

Currently offering 2-3 days of work a week. Schedules can be negotiated and adaptable depending on season. Please let me know your preferences to see if your preferred job position is compatible with your ideal schedule.

After training period is complete, vacation pay and transit pay will be added to your regular hourly paycheck.

Duties

- Operate the POS system, handle cash,



and use basic math to process transactions accurately.
- Welcome customers, answer questions with clear communication and professional phone etiquette, and help them find suitable products.
- Demonstrate proficient understanding of food items, relevant allergens and food handling processes to provide best service to customers' needs and dietary restrictions.
- Maintain merchandising and organized displays, manage time effectively, and coordinate with colleagues to keep service running smoothly.
- Deliver food from kitchen/bar to pick up counter and ensure item matches correct customer.
- Your impact: Helpful product guidance and accurate transactions make shopping easier for customers and support the team’s daily work.

Experience

Required: Bring customer service and cashiering capabilities, basic math, POS familiarity, clear communication, organization, and time management to daily tasks.

English skills support clear customer interactions. Korean fluency preferred but not required.
Preferred: fast food service, cash handling, product demonstrations, and merchandising are valuable. Bilingual or multilingual communication can help serve a wider range of customers as workplace is located in a federal government building.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
