Position: High School Math and Science Tutor

Summary of Duties :

- Work with a group of students as assigned
- Assist students to complete school homework
- Ensure all students behave appropriately in a classroom setting
- Prepare weekly lesson
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

- Obtained a University Degree or currently enrolled in a University Undergraduate (especially in Science, Math or French program)
- Ability to communicate and instruct students precisely and effectively;
- Ability to communicate in a precise, sensitive, courteous manner with students and other staff;
- Able to manage time and work efficiently;
- Good oral, written, interpersonal and organizational skills;
- Familiarity with school programs from Grade 1 to Grade 12;




- Proven ability to follow directions and procedures;
- Proven ability to work as a team player and work without supervision

Assets: Prior experience working with children or adolescents;

- Oral and written French skills
- proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is an asset

Shifts: Mondays-Fridays 3:00 - 7:00 (depends on the availability of tutor), Saturday 10:30 - 4:30 (or as needed)

rate: $25 - $28 /hour

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

- Bachelor's Degree (required)
