Murtron Hauling is looking for a Journeyman Heavy Duty/Truck & Transport Mechanic or Registered Apprentice to join our team.

The Job

You'll be working on our own fleet, keeping our trucks, trailers and support equipment safe, reliable and operating efficiently.

Responsibilities include:

- Diagnose and repair diesel engines
- Diagnose and repair transmissions and drivetrains
- Air brake systems
- Hydraulic systems
- Electrical and electronic systems
- Steering and suspension
- Preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Trailer repairs and maintenance
- CVIP inspections
- Welding and fabrication as required
- Complete service records and work orders
- Help minimize equipment downtime through quality repairs and preventative maintenance

What You'll Work On

Our fleet includes:

- Logging trucks
- Gravel trucks
- Heavy vocational trucks




- Trailers
- Support equipment

Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, air brakes and electrical diagnostics is important.

Experience with logging trucks, gravel trucks, vocational equipment or heavy trailers is an asset.

Compensation

$45.00–$52.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Evening shift premium is paid in addition to the regular hourly wage.
