Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough client assessments to understand individual needs and develop tailored massage therapy plans
- Perform professional massage treatments using various techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, or therapeutic massage
- Maintain clear and compassionate communication with clients before, during, and after sessions to ensure comfort and satisfaction
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including proper sanitation and hygiene standards
- Keep detailed treatment records to monitor client progress and inform future sessions
- Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate follow-up treatments or referrals when necessary
- Stay current with industry best practices, certifications, and new massage therapy techniques
Experience
- Valid registration as a Massage Therapist with the CMTO
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and client health histories
- Proven ability to provide excellent customer service with a friendly, skilled demeanor
- Solid communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Prior experience in a clinical or spa setting is preferred but not mandatory
