Construction Labourer – Civil & Excavation

Blackwater Constructors is looking for a reliable, hardworking Construction Labourer to join our growing team in Calgary.

We specialize in excavation, demolition, underground utilities, and civil construction. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up ready to get the job done, and works well as part of a crew.

Previous construction experience is preferred, but we're willing to train the right person with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

- Assist equipment operators and crew members with daily site activities.
- Perform general labour duties on excavation, demolition, and underground utility projects.
- Assist with site preparation, grading, backfilling, and cleanup.
- Support pipe installation and other underground utility work as required.
- Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials.
- Follow all site safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Take direction from foremen and supervisors to keep projects running efficiently.

Qualifications

- Previous construction or civil labour experience is an asset,



but not required.
- Physically capable of performing outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and ready to work.
- Solid work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation preferred.
- Experience working around heavy equipment is an asset.
