Position Overview

We are thrilled to announce the Gas Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Project, now underway across the Lower Mainland and Ridge Meadows. We are actively seeking motivated, customer-focused Field Service Representatives to join our dedicated installer team based in Pitt Meadows, BC.

In this role, you will modernize our gas metering infrastructure by upgrading legacy gas meters and installing new wireless-enabled meters or radio transmitters. If you are an independent worker with a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a positive attitude who enjoys engaging with customers, this is a fantastic opportunity to contribute directly to the evolution of our utility system.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform high-quality installation, maintenance, and technical service for gas meters, wireless radio transmitters,



and associated metering hardware (approximately 90% outdoors, 10% indoors)
- Accurately audit, verify, and record legacy and replacement gas meter readings, serial numbers, and equipment site specifications
- Efficiently organize daily installation schedules, manage assigned account routes to completion, and meet production, quality, and safety standards
- Execute precise digital data collection and work order logging on company-issued mobile handheld devices
- Deliver clear, professional communication and exceptional customer service when interacting with homeowners, business representatives, and clients
- Maintain strict adherence to corporate Health & Safety procedures, utility standards, and zero-defect quality control guidelines
- Conduct pre- and post-installation site inspections to verify operational integrity and ensure site restoration upon completion
- Manage inventory levels of meters, fittings, and radio modules in assigned company vehicles to maintain seamless field operations
- Identify, document, and report any site hazards, non-compliant plumbing configurations, or safety risks to management promptly
- Perform additional field operations and utility deployment duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

- High school diploma / GED is required
- Minimum one year of hands-on experience in construction, skilled trades, mechanical installation, or general field labour
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proven proficiency in operating standard hand and power tools safely
- Previous exposure to threaded pipe installation, plumbing fittings, or water/gas meter service is considered a strong asset
- Physical stamina and capability to stand, bend, stoop,



and operate effectively outdoors in varied seasonal weather conditions
- Strong organizational skills and self-motivation with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid Driver’s License (minimum Class 7 ‘N’ or Class 5) with a clean driver’s abstract and reliable commute to Pitt Meadows, BC
- Successful completion of a mandatory criminal background check prior to start date
