We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Technician to help maintain and repair the vehicles, equipment, and machinery used in our landscaping and snow removal operations.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has a strong mechanical aptitude, and takes pride in keeping equipment safe, reliable, and ready to work. Experience working on vehicles, small engines, lawn care equipment, or construction equipment is an asset.

You don't necessarily need to be a licensed mechanic. We're looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, willing to learn, resourceful, and comfortable performing routine maintenance and basic repairs on a variety of equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance on company vehicles, trucks, trailers, and equipment.
- Complete oil changes, fluid checks, filter changes, and other preventative maintenance.
- Inspect, maintain, and perform basic repairs on lawn mowers, snow blowers, and other small-engine equipment.
- Help maintain and troubleshoot skid steers, sidewalk tractors, and other compact equipment used in landscaping and snow removal.
- Identify mechanical issues, diagnose basic problems, and complete repairs where appropriate.
- Perform seasonal equipment preparation, including getting machinery ready for the summer landscaping and winter snow removal seasons.
- Keep equipment clean, organized, safe,



and in good working condition.
- Monitor equipment condition and report any major repairs or maintenance requirements.
- Maintain an organized shop and ensure tools and supplies are properly stored.
- Assist with other equipment-related tasks as needed to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Qualifications & Skills

- Strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in working on vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
- Basic experience with oil changes, vehicle maintenance, and routine mechanical servicing.
- Comfortable working with small engines, lawn care equipment, snow blowers, or similar machinery.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and use common hand and power tools.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valuable attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining safe, reliable equipment.
- Willingness to learn and take on new mechanical challenges.
- A valid driver's licence is an asset.

Previous experience as a mechanic, maintenance technician, small engine mechanic, equipment mechanic, automotive technician, or in a similar hands-on role is an asset. Equivalent practical experience and mechanical aptitude will also be considered.

Wage is negotiable and based on experience. We do not use AI in any part of the hiring process.

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
