Job Summary

Canada Home Health is seeking compassionate and dependable Health Care Aides to provide personalized support to clients in their homes across Calgary. You will help clients with daily activities while respecting their dignity, privacy, preferences, and independence.

This role involves hands-on personal care, companionship, and practical household support in accordance with each client’s care plan.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support mobility, positioning, lifts, and transfers using appropriate equipment and safe techniques within your training and the client’s care plan.
- Prepare meals according to dietary instructions and client preferences, and assist with eating when required.
- Provide light housekeeping and laundry support related to client care.
- Offer companionship, emotional support, and encouragement to participate in appropriate daily activities.
- Observe and promptly report changes in clients’ condition, behaviour, or care needs to the designated supervisor.
- Maintain accurate care records and protect client confidentiality.
- Follow care plans, infection prevention practices, and workplace safety procedures.
- Communicate respectfully with clients, families, and the care team.

Required Qualifications

- Current registration with CLHA. Applicants must provide their registration number.




- A valid driver’s licence and the ability to drive to client visits.
- A current criminal record check that includes a vulnerable sector check.
- A compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care.
- Solid communication, observation, and time-management skills.
- Ability to follow care instructions, work reliably, and seek guidance when needed.
- Ability to perform assigned care duties safely using appropriate equipment and assistance.

Preferred Experience

- Previous experience in home care, caregiving, assisted living, or long-term care.
- Experience assisting with personal care, mobility, and daily living activities.
- Experience preparing meals and providing household support in a care setting.

Pay: $17.80-$27.61 per hour
