Title: Security Guard - Port Pass / MTSC Required

Pay Rate: $22.00 - $23.00 / hour

Site Overview

This role operates within a dynamic marine transport security environment in Vancouver. As part of a high-profile maritime team, you will secure critical site infrastructure, support active port traffic, and maintain overall safety across the property.

What You'll Be Doing

You will play a key operational role in maintaining daily security standards and responding to incidents. Responsibilities include:

- Patrolling site property, buildings, perimeter fences, and gates on foot and in a security vehicle.

- Directing site traffic, including managing truck queuing and staging on site roadways.

- Managing site access control and confiscating expired, cancelled, or missing credentials.

- Responding promptly to intrusion alarms, property disruptions, and safety incidents.

- Informing client management immediately of any serious incidents or security threats.

- Collaborating with local emergency response agencies and client representatives.

- Writing detailed, accurate, and timely incident reports.

- Participating in site emergency drills, security exercises, and municipal crime prevention initiatives.

Must Haves

- Valid Marine Transportation Security Clearance (MTSC) / Port Pass.

- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License with a clean driving abstract.

- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

- Physical ability to perform shift duties, including standing, walking outdoors over uneven terrain, and repeatedly entering and exiting a vehicle.

- Ability to pass additional background checks and site clearances as required.

Nice-to-Haves

- Previous experience in marine, port, industrial, or high-profile security environments.

- Open availability for adaptable scheduling.





- Working knowledge of non-defensive communication and de-escalation techniques.
