Overview

As a Prep Cook, you’ll support smooth kitchen operations by preparing ingredients and meals, cooking items according to direction, and helping keep food service organized. This hands-on role suits someone who enjoys practical work, follows safe food-handling practices, and contributes to a team-oriented kitchen.

Responsibilities

- Prepare ingredients and assist with meal preparation, following recipes and instructions for consistency.
- Cook assigned items and coordinate timing so dishes are ready for service.
- Handle, store, and organize food safely; keep preparation areas and equipment clean.
- Support serving and other food service tasks as needed, communicating clearly with kitchen colleagues.
- Your impact: Careful preparation helps the team serve meals efficiently and consistently.

Experience

Required: Practical food preparation, cooking, food handling, and food safety capabilities, with attention to cleanliness, instructions, and timing. Preferred: Food service, restaurant, kitchen, or broader food industry experience, including meal preparation or serving, and the ability to work cooperatively in a busy kitchen.

Pay: $17.95 per hour
