The Math and Science Tutor helps students build understanding, confidence, and effective learning habits across math and science topics. Through clear explanations and supportive, individualized instruction, the tutor adapts lessons to students’ needs and encourages steady progress.

Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver tutoring sessions that explain math and science concepts using examples, practice, and questions.
- Assess student understanding, identify learning gaps, and adjust teaching approaches to support different abilities.
- Use computer skills and relevant digital tools to prepare learning materials, present concepts, and track student progress.
- Communicate progress and learning needs with colleagues, helping coordinate consistent support. Your impact:

Qualifications

Required: Strong math knowledge, teaching and tutoring abilities, clear communication, patience, and computer skills to prepare lessons and support student learning. Preferred: Experience working with children, classroom experience, special education knowledge, and computer science familiarity are valuable strengths for adapting instruction and making complex ideas accessible.

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
