About the role

We’re looking for a Technology Architect to help develop and improve a large enterprise Microsoft 365 tenant so it meets business and compliance requirements. You’ll design and build custom solutions on SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams, automate information governance controls, and deliver reporting on how the tenant is being used. You’ll be one of two architects on the team.

Key projects

- Design and build a custom solution that lets SharePoint Online representatives:
- Manage site membership
- Archive sites in a standard way
- Move content out of Private and Shared Channels
- Create Private and Shared Teams channels through a purpose-built interface with customizable settings
- Sensitivity labels: Automatically apply default sensitivity labels to document libraries on external collaboration sites, on an ongoing basis.
- Metadata and adoption reporting: Search and transform metadata so Power BI can report on adoption of the enterprise information architecture.
- Purview reporting: Pull retention label and sensitivity label usage by site into Power BI.

What you’ll do

- Develop technical architectures, frameworks and strategies for software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions that meet business and application requirements
- Identify the policies and requirements that shape each solution, and compare alternative technical approaches




- Make sure all parts of a solution work together, and assess the impact of technology changes
- Review application and infrastructure designs for compliance with standards, and recommend performance improvements
- Write requirements, feasibility, cost, design and specification documents, plus implementation plans, SOPs, options analyses, impact assessments and requests for change (RFCs)
- Advise on emerging Microsoft 365 capabilities and industry trends
- Report on progress, and train other team members through SOPs, documentation and job shadowing

What we’re looking for

- Proven hands-on SharePoint Framework (SPFx) development experience. This is required.
- Solid SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams architecture experience, including site provisioning, membership management, archiving, and Private and Shared Channels
- Microsoft Purview experience, especially sensitivity labels, retention labels and auto-labelling
- Experience automating against Microsoft 365 with Microsoft Graph, PnP PowerShell and Power Automate
- Experience building Power BI reports on Microsoft 365 or Purview data
- Experience writing architecture, design and SOP documentation for large organizations

Pay: $775.00-$800.00 per day
