About Audcomp
Audcomp is a leading Managed Services and Managed Security Services Provider (MSP/MSSP) headquartered in Ancaster, Ontario. Since 1986, we have delivered trusted IT, cybersecurity, cloud and technology solutions to businesses across Ontario and Canada.
Our success is built on strong technical expertise, long-term client relationships and a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
As Artificial Intelligence changes how businesses operate, Audcomp is expanding our capabilities in AI development, automation, AI agents, Microsoft Copilot and AI-enabled business solutions.
We are looking for an AI Engineer / AI Automation Developer to help us build these capabilities internally and deliver practical AI solutions to our clients.
Position Overview
This is a hands-on development and engineering position focused on designing, building, deploying and supporting AI agents, AI automations, integrations and intelligent business workflows.
You will work on two primary areas:
- Internal AI development, improving how Audcomp operates across service, finance, sales, administration and other departments.
- Client AI solutions, developing and deploying AI agents, integrations and automations within customer environments.
Examples include automating ConnectWise PSA workflows, Microsoft CSP billing reconciliation, ticket analysis and triage, sales reporting, Microsoft 365 and SharePoint information retrieval, business-process automation, and AI agents that securely interact with multiple systems and data sources.
This is not primarily a prompt-writing or end-user Copilot position. We are looking for someone who can build, integrate, test and deploy working AI solutions into production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deploy AI agents and AI-driven business applications.
- Build multi-step automation workflows using triggers, APIs, webhooks, scheduled processes and business logic.
- Develop AI agents capable of securely interacting with business systems, databases, Microsoft 365 and third-party applications.
- Integrate AI solutions with systems including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Graph, Azure, Entra ID, SharePoint, ConnectWise PSA, Microsoft Partner Center, Supabase/PostgreSQL and other business applications.
- Develop and maintain APIs, connectors and MCP-based integrations.
- Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions across company and client documentation and structured data.
- Develop workflows incorporating human approval and validation where AI should not act independently.
- Evaluate existing business processes and identify where AI, automation or conventional software development provides the best solution.
- Write clean, maintainable code using technologies such as Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, SQL and PowerShell.
- Build testing and evaluation processes for AI agents and applications.
- Implement logging, monitoring, alerting and audit trails for AI applications running in production.
- Troubleshoot AI workflows, integrations and production issues.
- Apply proper security controls including least-privilege access, service accounts, API authentication and secrets management.
- Maintain documentation, configuration information, runbooks and support procedures for deployed solutions.
- Work directly with Audcomp staff and client stakeholders to understand business processes and translate them into technical solutions.
- Communicate technical concepts and AI capabilities clearly to non-technical users and clients.
- Measure the effectiveness of AI initiatives including time saved, errors reduced, turnaround improvements and overall business value.
Required Experience & Skills
- 2+ years of hands-on software development, automation, systems integration or related technical experience.
- Robust working knowledge of Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Working knowledge of SQL and databases.
- Practical experience building AI applications, agents or LLM-based workflows.
- Understanding of tool/function calling, structured outputs, prompt design, agent workflows and AI failure handling.
- Experience building business automations using code or platforms such as Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, n8n or similar technologies.
- Experience integrating different platforms through REST APIs, webhooks and JSON.
- Understanding of authentication technologies including OAuth, API keys, service principals and application permissions.
- Understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector search, hybrid search and document retrieval.
- Experience testing, troubleshooting and monitoring production applications or automated workflows.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint and Entra ID.
- Experience with Git/source control.
- Experience deploying applications or services within Microsoft Azure, AWS or another cloud platform.
- Strong understanding of data privacy, access control and security when building AI applications.
- Ability to independently manage priorities and take development projects from concept through deployment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work directly with both technical and non-technical staff and clients.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
Hands-on development capability is essential. Experience using ChatGPT, Claude or Microsoft Copilot as an end user alone does not meet the technical requirements of this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working for an MSP, MSSP, technology consulting company or software/integration firm.
- Experience with ConnectWise PSA, ConnectWise Automate, IT Glue or similar MSP platforms.
- Experience with Microsoft Partner Center or CSP licensing/billing automation.
- Experience developing MCP servers or MCP-based integrations.
- Experience with AI development frameworks such as Claude Agent SDK, LangGraph, OpenAI Agents SDK or Microsoft Agent Framework.
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps or n8n.
- Strong Microsoft Graph API experience.
- Experience with Azure Functions, Azure Key Vault, Azure AI Search or similar Azure services.
- Experience with Supabase or PostgreSQL, including database security and row-level security.
- Experience designing or supporting AI solutions within multiple customer environments.
- Understanding of AI security, governance, privacy and responsible AI practices.
- Familiarity with frameworks or regulations such as PIPEDA, NIST AI RMF or ISO/IEC 42001.
- Microsoft certifications such as AI-102, AZ-104, MS-102 or SC-300.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Professional Attributes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Able to take an idea or business problem and turn it into a working solution.
- Curious and motivated to continuously learn new AI technologies.
- Comfortable working in a rapidly changing technology environment.
- Strong attention to security, reliability and data privacy.
- Able to work independently while collaborating closely with technical teams and business users.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Comfortable working directly with clients.
- Practical mindset focused on delivering measurable business results rather than implementing technology simply because it is new.
- Accountable for completing projects and supporting what you put into production.

- Establish repeatable testing, evaluation and monitoring practices.
