Waterloo Regional Health Network seeks a Social Worker, MSW for Mental Health & Addictions Emergency Crisis Services. The position assesses emergency department patients, recommends dispositions, and partners with hospital and community services. Short-term crisis intervention may support the Rapid Response Team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct mental health and risk assessments during emergency crises
- Recommend appropriate dispositions to the emergency physician
- Partner with emergency department and inpatient mental health staff
- Coordinate with hospital services and community resources
- Provide short-term crisis intervention through Rapid Response

Requirements:

- Master of Social Work degree from an accredited university
- Current Ontario College registration as a social worker
- Minimum three years of clinical mental health experience
- Working knowledge of the Mental Health Act
- Proficiency in de-escalation and de-briefing skills
