The General Labourer supports day-to-day work by completing practical tasks, keeping shared areas orderly, and following instructions from colleagues. This hands-on role suits someone who is dependable, attentive, and comfortable contributing to a range of general tasks. You will help the team maintain an organized, productive work setting and respond to changing priorities.

Responsibilities – Labourer

Perform snow removal operations at commercial, industrial, and residential sites as required.

- Shovel snow and clear sidewalks, walkways, entrances, parking areas, and other designated surfaces.
- Assist with snow clearing, snow piling, and snow relocation using hand tools and equipment.
- Apply sand, salt, and other ice-control materials to help maintain safe walking and driving surfaces.
- Assist with winter environmental installations, including erosion and sediment control measures,siteprotection, and temporary environmental barriers.
- Install, maintain,



and remove erosion control products, sediment barriers, and other siteprotectionmaterials as required.
- Prepare and maintain job sites for winter conditions, ensuring materials and installations are secureandfunctioning properly.
- Load, unload, transport, and organize tools, equipment, snow removal supplies, andenvironmentalinstallation materials.
- Assist with the setup, operation, cleaning, and maintenance of snow removal and installationequipment.
- Conduct routine site inspections and report snow buildup, icy conditions, damaged installations,andpotential hazards.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout all projects.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices, including working safelyaroundmoving vehicles and heavy equipment.
- Wear and properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work outdoors in cold temperatures and changing winter weather conditions.
- Respond to changing site conditions and winter weather events, including early morning,evening,overnight, and weekend work when required.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
- Follow instructions, meet project deadlines, and maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Perform other labour duties as assigned by the supervisor or project manager.
