Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, a strong understanding of food and beverage preparation, and experience working in a fast-paced food industry environment. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, handling transactions, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. Prior barista experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service, cash handling, and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to company standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Manage customer orders efficiently while maintaining high-quality service standards
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling food items and maintaining cleanliness of food stations
- Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including cleaning equipment and sanitizing surfaces
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner




- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as needed
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe workplace for staff and customers

Skills

- Proven experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele
- Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for order processing and cashiering
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and order calculations
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced workplace while maintaining attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and assist customers effectively
