We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day financial operations and provide dependable leadership across core accounting activities in the Collingwood area. This position is suited to an individual with strong attention to detail who can strengthen reporting, support budgeting, and guide processes related to payables, payroll, and financial controls. The successful candidate will bring strong systems knowledge and a practical approach to improving accuracy, efficiency, and overall financial oversight.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the daily accounting function for an office environment, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Oversee accounts payable activities, including invoice review, payment scheduling, and adherence to internal approval processes.
- Supervise payroll administration and confirm that employee payments, deductions, and related records are processed correctly.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports to support decision-making and maintain confidence in the organization’s financial position.
- Coordinate budget planning activities, monitor results against forecasts, and highlight key variances for management review.
- Manage and optimize the use of accounting and ERP platforms, including tools such as ADP, BlackLine, and Concur, to support reliable financial operations.
- Review reconciliations, month-end activities, and control procedures to maintain completeness and accuracy across the general ledger.
- Support process improvements and operational changes within financial systems when required, ensuring minimal disruption and strong documentation.
- Provide guidance and oversight to accounting staff or related stakeholders, promoting consistency, accountability, and high-quality work.




- Demonstrated experience in an accounting leadership role, ideally within a family office, private office, or similarly complex financial environment.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software systems and ERP platforms used to manage reporting, reconciliations, and transaction processing.
- Proven ability to review financial information carefully, identify discrepancies, and uphold solid internal controls.
- Experience contributing to budgeting activities, including planning, tracking, and variance analysis.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and discretion.
