Overview (ON-SITE ROLE)

We are a growing Ontario trucking group with multiple connected businesses. We are building a stronger, more organized finance team, and this role is central to it.

The role
You will run the daily accounts receivable and accounts payable for all four companies. You work with our Controller, who reviews and approves your work, and with the CFO, who releases payments. You will be the person who inputs data and keeps bills, tolls, invoices and payments accurate and on time.

What you will do

- Enter, code and file vendor bills daily, with receipts and work orders attached.
- Apply customer payments, clear large weekly customer invoices (including Amazon), and prepare dispute and appeal paperwork with proofs.
- Prepare the weekly bill payment list for approval, and track bills so they are paid on time.
- Match credit card and bank transactions daily, and prepare the monthly card reconciliations.
- Record payments and invoices between our related companies (repairs, rent, transfers).
- Keep the lease, toll and insurance items up to date.
- Support the repair shop: collect work orders, enter parts purchases, and keep products and inventory records clean.




- Help with month-end by preparing aging reports and chasing missing documents.
- Spot errors, duplicates and discrepancies early, and flag them to the Controller.
- Other AR/AP related tasks

What we are looking for

- 2 or more years of accounts payable and receivable experience. Trucking, transportation, distribution or repair-shop experience is a strong asset.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (multiple companies is an asset) and Excel or Google Sheets.
- Solid attention to detail and comfort with reconciliations.
- Clear communication, including phone follow-ups with customers and vendors.
- Organized, reliable, and able to keep several deadlines moving each week.
- A diploma or certificate in accounting or bookkeeping, or equivalent experience.

- Acton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- AR and AP: 2 years (required)
- Quickbooks: 1 year (preferred)
