Job Title: Youth Program Counselor / Lead Assistant (Evening Shift)

Locations:

- Wednesdays: James Culnan Catholic School (High Park – Jane & Annette area)
- Fridays: All Saints Catholic Elementary School (Richview – Royal York & Eglinton area)

Shift Hours: 6:45 PM – 9:45 PM (3 hours per shift, including setup and teardown)
Position Type: Part time / Seasonal

Position OverviewWe are seeking energetic, reliable, and safety-minded staff members to join our team for our youth evening activity programs in West Toronto! In this role, you will help create a welcoming, safe, and active environment for youth participants, supporting smooth program delivery from check-in to wrap-up.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

- Greeting & Entrance Security (Doorman Support): Manage the designated entrance doors to welcome families, perform check-ins/check-outs, and maintain access control to ensure a secure facility environment.
- Warm-Up Activities: Lead and facilitate dynamic group warm-ups, light cardio movement games, and stretches to prepare participants safely for active drills.
- Skill Drills & Activity Support: Assist the lead instructor in setting up, demonstrating, and guiding simple,



progressive skill drills for youth.
- Positive Energy & Supervision: Maintain high enthusiasm, foster positive group dynamics, and ensure participants remain engaged and safe throughout the session.
- Facility Setup & Teardown: Assist with gym layout setup before sessions begin and equipment teardown/pack-up at the end of the evening.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience: Experience working with youth in recreation, sports, summer camps, or community settings.
- Safety & Standards: First Aid / CPR certification (or willingness to obtain); clear Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) required.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, high energy, dependability, and an approachable, kid-friendly demeanor.
- Punctuality: Reliable transportation to arrive on time for the 6:45 PM setup start.
