The Role

We are hiring an experienced litigation paralegal to work directly with our lawyers on active files across our practice areas:

- Business litigation (contract and tort)
- Estate litigation and probate
- Construction litigation
- Municipal law
- Insurance denials
- Personal injury

What You'll Do

- Draft pleadings, applications, affidavits, chambers records and correspondence.
- Manage document production, lists of documents and disclosure.
- Prepare for examinations for discovery, mediations, chambers applications and trial.
- File through BC Online and court e-filing, and coordinate with registries, clients, opposing counsel and experts.
- Track limitation dates and court deadlines, and keep files moving from opening to resolution.
- Docket your time in CosmoLex as you go, in 0.1-hour units, with clear descriptions a client would understand.

What We're Looking For

- Paralegal certification or 3+ years of BC civil litigation experience.
- Experience in commercial, estate, construction, insurance or personal injury litigation is an asset.




- Familiarity with BC Supreme Court procedure.
- Strong drafting skills, sound judgment, and ownership of your files.
- Transparent, respectful and professional communication, verbal and written.
- Experience docketing billable time in CosmoLex, PCLaw, Clio or similar. We will train you on CosmoLex.
- Comfort with technology and an interest in using AI tools to work smarter.
- A second language, particularly Cantonese, Mandarin or Punjabi, is an asset.
