Respiratory Technician – Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) Lab

About the Role

We are a busy respirology practice seeking a Respiratory Technician whose primary responsibility is to perform high‑quality Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs). This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, comfortable working independently, and committed to delivering accurate diagnostic testing that supports patient care.

Key Responsibilities (Primary Duty)

- Perform complete Pulmonary Function Tests
- Ensure all tests meet ATS/ERS quality standards for repeatability and accuracy.
- Prepare and coach patients through testing procedures to ensure optimal performance and comfort.
- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot PFT equipment daily.
- Upload and document results accurately in the EMR.
- Maintain strict infection‑control and equipment hygiene protocols.
- Communicate effectively with respirologists and clinic staff to support timely patient flow.





Qualifications

- Completion of a recognized Respiratory Therapy or Pulmonary Diagnostics program (e.g., RESPTREC, accredited RT program).
- Experience performing PFTs preferred; recent graduates with strong technical aptitude are welcome.
- Knowledge of ATS/ERS testing standards.
- Excellent communication and patient‑coaching skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Pay: $27.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 40.0 per week
