Property Partners Contracting is seeking an experienced and reliable Emergency Responder to provide weekend and after-hours emergency maintenance services throughout Greater Victoria.
This position is ideal for an experienced maintenance technician, handyman, building operator, or tradesperson seeking flexible additional income.
Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency property maintenance calls.
- Assess and address plumbing leaks, flooding, and water damage.
- Perform emergency water shutoffs and temporary repairs.
- Secure damaged doors, windows, and building entrances.
- Troubleshoot urgent building maintenance issues.
- Coordinate with management when specialized trades are required.
- Document all work with photographs and detailed service reports.
- Communicate professionally with tenants and property managers.
Requirements
- Previous property maintenance or building operations experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Availability for weekend and overnight emergency calls.
- Ability to respond promptly to dispatched emergencies.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Compensation & Schedule
- $60.00 per hour for emergency response work.
- Minimum 2 hours of pay per dispatched emergency callout.
- No separate standby allowance.
- No guaranteed weekly hours.
- Work is assigned based on emergency service requests.
- Weekend, evening, overnight, and statutory holiday availability required.
