We are seeking a skilled Furniture Refinisher to join our team. Instead of being from the construction or renovations industry, the ideal candidate will be both skilled and experienced in actual furniture refinishing using wiping stains and spray booth equipment. The job responsibilities include restoring and enhancing the appearance of furniture through modern and traditional finishing techniques.

Duties include but not limited to:
- Prepare furniture surfaces by sanding, stripping, or cleaning to ensure proper adhesion of finishes
- Apply stains, lacquers or other coatings, using wipe-on or spray equipment
- Repair existing damage before finishing
- Inspect finished furniture for quality control and ensure it meets our very high standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for finishing materials and equipment
- Collaborate with our small team to meet project deadlines and quality expectations
Skills
- Proven experience in furniture refinishing is required
- Strong attention to detail and precision in applying finishes
- Knowledge of different types of stains, coatings, and finishing techniques
- Ability to operate spray guns, brushes, and other finishing tools safely and effectively
- Good manual dexterity and steady hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a friendly setting
- Adaptability to different project requirements

This job will not have the monotony of a production shop, as each piece and project is different and your approach will adapt accordingly. For the right candidate this will be stimulating and rewarding.
