Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking a lawyer with 5 to 7 years of experience in business law, primarily in corporate and transactional matters, to join its Montreal office.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in mergers and acquisitions, as well as a good understanding of financing matters.

Your Role

You will take an active role in managing transactions and advising business clients on a variety of matters. Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing and overseeing transactions, files and related client relationships
- Supervising due diligence in connection with mergers and acquisitions
- Drafting and reviewing various commercial and transactional agreements, including purchase and sale agreements and shareholder or partnership agreements
- Participating in the preparation of financing documentation in connection with transactions
- Overseeing the preparation of share capital structures and corporate documentation related to corporate and tax reorganizations
- Drafting and reviewing legal opinions and other transaction-related documents





Your Profile

- Member in good standing of the Québec Bar
- 5 to 7 years of experience in business law, primarily in corporate and transactional matters
- Solid experience in mergers and acquisitions
- Knowledge of transactional financing
- Excellent analytical, drafting and negotiation skills
- Excellent command of French and advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- Strong organizational skills, autonomy and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple files and tight deadlines
- Team-oriented, versatile and proactive
