About Chisholm Services for Children
Chisholm Services for Children is a Nova Scotia nonprofit dedicated to helping children and families build brighter, healthier, safer and more hopeful futures.
We are entering an exciting period of growth and are looking for an experienced fundraising professional who can help us strengthen the relationships, resources and community engagement needed to expand our impact.
The Opportunity
This is a new role at Chisholm and an opportunity to help build and implement the next phase of fund development for the organization.
The Manager, Fund Development & Engagement, will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive fundraising strategy that grows and diversifies revenue with a first focus on our current capital campaign: Brighter Futures, while building meaningful, long-term relationships with donors, partners and the broader community.
This is a highly hands-on role for a fundraising professional who enjoys both building strategy and leading execution. The successful candidate will personally cultivate donors, write proposals and grant applications, develop stewardship plans, coordinate campaigns, manage social media, support events, and build systems and processes.
This position currently operates as an individual contributor role with significant organizational influence. The successful candidate will collaborate across the organization and may work with contractors, volunteers and external partners.
Fundraising and donor engagement will represent the majority of this role. Communications, community engagement, events and partnership development are important supporting functions that help advance fundraising success.
