Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to manage day-to-day accounts payable and payroll processing, with additional support for accounts receivable. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and experience meeting deadlines in a busy office environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Process invoices, match purchase orders, reconcile vendor statements, and prepare weekly payment runs.

- Process payroll using employee time records, maintain payroll and perks records, and assist with statutory remittances and year-end reporting.

- Provide backup support for accounts receivable, including recording customer payments and resolving discrepancies.

- Assist with account reconciliations, month-end and year-end procedures, and general accounting administration.





- Maintain accurate financial records while following company approval procedures and protecting confidential information.

Qualifications

- Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience, including hands-on accounts payable.

- Experience with invoice matching, vendor reconciliations, payroll deductions, and statutory remittances.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.

- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines.

Assets: Experience with QuickBooks Desktop, IBEX payroll, uAttend, or bookkeeping/payroll certification.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
