Job Summary

The Prep Cook supports smooth kitchen operations through careful food preparation, cooking, and meal preparation. This role helps the team serve consistent dishes by keeping ingredients organized, following food safety practices, and maintaining a clean, orderly work area.

Duties

- Experience handling, portioning, and processing raw poultry safely.
- Proficient in using knives and kitchen machinery to cut raw chicken to exact specifications.
- Ability to strictly follow food safety and cross-contamination protocols while handling raw meat.
- Prepare ingredients and meals according to kitchen instructions, recipes, and service needs.
- Assist with cooking and serving while coordinating with kitchen colleagues during busy periods.
- Handle food safely, maintain clean preparation areas, and store ingredients appropriately.
- Keep supplies organized and communicate ingredient or preparation needs to the team.

Experience

Required: Practical food preparation, cooking,



meal preparation, food handling, and food safety capabilities support safe, organized kitchen work and dependable service. Attention to cleanliness, explicit communication, and the ability to follow instructions help maintain consistent preparation and coordinate effectively with colleagues.

Preferred: Food service experience, including serving, is helpful, as are restaurant experience, kitchen experience, or familiarity with the food industry. These strengths can support smooth teamwork and readiness for varied kitchen tasks.

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
