Maple Tree Children's Centre Inc. is looking for a full-time Early Childhood Educator.

Position: Early Childhood Educator

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Education Requirements:

- College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or related program

Certification Requirements:

- Valid Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate issued in BC.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.

Other Job Requirements:

- Able to communicate in English.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and co-workers.
- Clear criminal record check.
- Good character and professional references required.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver childcare programs that promote children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
- Organize and lead activities such as storytelling, singing, arts and crafts, music, dramatic play, and outdoor play.
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for children.
- Monitor children's development and communicate their progress and any concerns to parents and co-workers.
- Identify potential developmental or behavioural concerns and document observations for follow-up with parents or supervisors.




- Encourage children to develop age-appropriate skills and independence in daily routines.
- Build positive working relationships with colleagues to support children's well-being.

Wage:

$21 to $26.00 per hour + Wage Enhancement $6/hour(up to 195 hours per month)
*Overtime will be paid at 1.5 times the base salary.

Work hours:

45 hours per week, including 5 hours of overtime.

Vacation and perks:

- 5 weeks of vacation (1 week in Spring break, 2 weeks in Christmas break, and the remaining 2 weeks can be taken on a seniority basis)
