We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team on a Contract basis in Arthur, Ontario. This position supports both receivables and payables activities, helping maintain accurate financial records and timely transaction processing. The ideal candidate brings solid attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and the ability to manage day-to-day accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and enter customer billing records each day to keep accounts receivable current and accurate.
- Post incoming customer payments from multiple tender types, including electronic transactions, cheques, cash, and card payments.
- Process daily cheque deposits promptly and maintain proper supporting documentation.
- Generate weekly customer account statements for distribution through delivery routes.
- Work closely with the sales team to clarify and resolve questions related to customer credits.
- Match invoicing records against signed shipping documentation to confirm billing accuracy.
- Review, code, and enter supplier invoices while investigating discrepancies and communicating with vendors as needed.
- Verify and process employee expense submissions in accordance with company procedures.
- Monitor vendor correspondence, issue remittance details, maintain the accounts payable sub-ledger, and help ensure payments are released within agreed credit terms.
- At least 1 year of experience in an accounting support role with exposure to accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks.
- Demonstrated accuracy in data entry, invoice handling,



and financial record maintenance.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with SAP or a similar ERP platform is considered an asset.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
