Job Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Network L1 Field Engineer to support onsite, dispatch-based IT and network infrastructure assignments in Kincardine, Ontario, Canada. This is a freelance opportunity suitable for IT professionals looking for flexible, project-based technical assignments. Please note: This is an on-demand position, and assignments are scheduled according to client requirements. Daily work and fixed

Key Responsibilities
• Provide onsite Level 1 network and IT infrastructure support.
• Troubleshoot LAN, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and basic network connectivity issues.
• Assist with the installation, configuration, and replacement of network switches, routers, and IT hardware.
• Perform network cabling, patching, and connectivity checks.
• Provide Smart Hands and Remote Hands support under the guidance of remote technical teams.
• Diagnose basic hardware and software issues.




• Document troubleshooting activities and completed service requests. Required Skills &

Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience in L1 network support, desktop support, IT field services, or a related technical role.
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi networking.
• Familiarity with network switches, routers, cabling, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Experience performing onsite IT support or Smart Hands activities.
• Valuable communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and work independently.
• Willingness to travel to client sites in Kincardine, Ontario.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada. Preferred

Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a Network Technician, Field Service Engineer, Desktop Support Technician, or IT Support Specialist.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management processes.
• CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or similar certifications are an advantage but not mandatory.
