Overview

The Child Educator supports children’s learning, development, and participation through attentive childcare and teaching. The role may involve working with children with disabilities and applying special education approaches in an inclusive, supportive setting.

Duties

- Plan and lead age-appropriate learning activities informed by early childhood education and children’s individual needs.
- Provide attentive childcare, encourage positive participation, and adapt teaching approaches to support children with disabilities.
- Communicate with children, families, and colleagues; maintain clear written records and use computers for routine classroom tasks.
- Provide after school care and take the child to extracurricular activities

Experience

Required: Practical childcare, teaching, communication, organization, time management, writing, and basic computer operation skills, experience working with children with developmental delay, knowledge of early childhood education or special education, English and Mandarin language skills, including bilingual communication, able to drive with Ontario G license.

Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour
