Academy Sales & Outreach Coordinator

Location: Steamoji Sherwood Park, Unit #224, 222 Baseline Road, Sherwood Park, AB

Work setting: In person at the academy for discovery sessions and tours. Lead follow-up calls, messages, and CRM updates can be done from home for the right self-starter once you are trained and hitting your targets.

Where kids learn to build like a maker through hands-on STEM projects: Robotics, 3D printing, engineering, coding, digital arts - and more! This is a maker academy, where kids grow real skills and real confidence one creation at a time, along a learning path we call the Journey to Master Maker. It is busy, joyful, and a little bit magical, and families who walk through our door want to be part of it. Your job is to help them say yes.

Hands-on projects reinforce learning and keep kids engaged. This is where Apprentices build future-proof STEM skillsets.

What the kids do:

- Coding: From simple programs to game design, learn core coding skills across programming languages such as Scratch, Python, and Unity.
- Robotics: Learn how hardware and software work together by building and coding robots with sensors, motors, and automation in VEX, micro:bit, and Arduino.
- Engineering: Develop core engineering concepts through design challenges and real-world applications of simple machines, structures, gears, hydraulics and more.
- 3D Printing: Bring creations to life and learn about printability, spatial reasoning, and design constraints with 3D modelling software like Tinkercad and Onshape.
- Digital Arts: Discover artistic expression through drawing, animation, design, and stop-motion while mastering digital tools for visual storytelling and creative communication.

The Role:

Let's be clear about the job: this is a sales role, and it is a outstanding one. Families discover us, book a free discovery session for their child, and then need a confident,



friendly person to guide them from "that was amazing" to "we are in." That person is you. You will own our leads from first hello to enrolled membership, host free discovery sessions, follow up with families who are still deciding, and close the sale. Most families begin with our annual membership and set off on the Journey, and you will help them see why it is worth it. We provide the leads, the academy, and full training on our programs. You provide the sales skill, the follow-through, and the enthusiasm.

What you'll bring to our team:

- Convert leads into memberships: respond to current inquiries quickly, answer questions, and guide families toward the membership that fits them best, with the annual membership and the Journey at the heart of it.
- Host free discovery sessions: welcome families in, show them what their child will design and build as an Apprentice, and present the membership options.
- Follow up: contact every family that came in for a discovery session but has not enrolled yet, handle concerns, and ask for the sale. Our standard is follow-up within 48 hours.
- Own the pipeline: track leads, discovery sessions, conversions, and cancellations in our CRM so nothing falls through the cracks.
- Support growth: help with open houses, school and community outreach, and special events such as homeschool discovery days.
- Be the friendly face of the academy for prospective families.

Hours that matter:

Discovery sessions happen when families can come, so your in-academy shifts sit inside our operating hours: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday 3:00 to 7:30 PM, Wednesday and Thursday 2:00 to 7:30 PM,



and Saturday 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Expect roughly 15 to 20 hours per week to start, focused on weekday late afternoons and evenings plus Saturdays. Follow-up work between shifts can be done from home.

Pay:

Base pay of $18 to $22 per hour depending on experience, plus commission on the enrollments you close and monthly performance bonuses. If you are a proven closer who prefers a commission-heavy structure, we are open to that conversation. Your results should show up in your pay.

What you bring:

- A maker mindset: you are curious, you like figuring out how things work, and you get why kids light up when they build something real.
- A solid understanding of the sales process and a track record of closing, in any industry.
- Self-motivated and goal-driven. You manage your own follow-ups without being chased.
- Warm, confident communication and presentation skills. Parents trust you and kids like you.
- Comfortable with phones, email, and CRM tools.
- Availability for weekday evenings and Saturdays.

No STEM, coding, or teaching background required. We will teach you the programs and the Journey.

Steamoji Sherwood Park is a maker academy where Apprentices ages 5 to 15 build real skills in engineering, 3D design and printing, digital arts, robotics, and coding, one project and one level of the Journey at a time. Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 15.0 per week
