Overview

This is a hands-on role that combines field safety leadership, compliance, and project support. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams to help maintain safe, productive, and compliant worksites.

Responsibilities

- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and field-level hazard assessments
- Support project teams with safety planning, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation
- Lead new worker orientations, toolbox talks, and safety training initiatives
- Promote and enforce company Health & Safety Programs and safe work practices
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and workplace hazards, and assist with corrective action implementation
- Maintain accurate safety records, training logs, inspection reports, and compliance documentation
- Coordinate with WorkSafeBC, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders as required
- Participate in COR program administration, internal audits, and external audit preparation
- Monitor high-risk work activities including fall protection, silica exposure controls, hot work,



and other construction-related hazards
- Travel to project sites throughout the Lower Mainland to provide on-site safety support and guidance

Experience

- 2+ years of construction industry experience, required - preferably in concrete restoration, roofing, waterproofing, or sheet metal environments
- CSO Certification, required
- 1-2 years of CSO experience, required
- Current OFA Level 2 certification, required (Level 3 is an asset)
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable vehicle, required
- COR experience, required
- Robust knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and construction safety requirements
- Experience with hazard assessments, fall protection, and silica exposure controls
- Strong communication, organization, and computer skills
- Ability to travel between project sites across the Lower Mainland

Pay: $45,800.00-$92,700.00 per year
