Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Parts Advisor to join our automotive dealership team. The ideal candidate will serve as a vital link between customers, service technicians, and the parts department, ensuring efficient parts sales, inventory management, and exceptional customer service. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of automotive parts and repair processes. Dealership experience is highly valued to enhance customer interactions and streamline operations.

Duties

- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct automotive parts using POS systems and inventory databases
- Manage parts inventory levels, track stock, and coordinate order fulfillment to ensure availability of necessary components
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, offering technical advice, and resolving issues efficiently
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and maintaining proper documentation
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely delivery of parts needed for repairs and maintenance
- Maintain organized records of sales, returns, and inventory using Microsoft Excel or other management software such as ERA/ REYNOLDS
- Support marketing efforts by promoting special offers or new products to customers
- Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette,



providing prompt assistance or directing calls appropriately
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the parts department to optimize workflow
- Engage in ongoing training to stay current with automotive repair trends, parts catalog updates, and sales techniques

Requirements

- Previous dealership experience preferred; familiarity with automotive repair is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills for effective customer interactions and team collaboration
- Cashiering experience along with cash handling skills required for processing transactions accurately
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and courtesy
- Strong math skills for accurate order processing and inventory calculations

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
