Reporting to the Director of Care, the Assistant Director of Care oversees assigned clinical areas within Extendicare’s model. This full-time position supports resident-centred care, regulatory compliance, and effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned clinical programs under Extendicare’s model of care
- Identify risks, mitigation strategies, and appropriate escalation actions
- Monitor regulations, licensing, accreditation, and employment standards




- Lead quality improvement initiatives and oversee established outcomes
- Mentor team members through coaching, training, and development

Requirements:
- Minimum three years’ registered staff experience in long-term care
- Registered Nurse licensing or Licensed Practical Nurse registration
- Current CPR certification and strong clinical skills
- Experience with Point Click Care and Point of Care
