Are you interested in building a career in baking? Terra Breads is looking for a Mix Assistant to join our bakery production team.

This is a great chance for someone with some baking or food production experience who wants to develop their skills and learn the art of dough preparation in a commercial bakery.

Working alongside our experienced Mixers, you'll learn how we prepare our artisan breads, develop your understanding of ingredients and doughs, and gain hands-on experience with our production methods.

** Full-time position – must be available to work 5am – 1pm, and must be available to work weekends and stat holidays**

Key Responsibilities and Duties include:

- Assist Mixers with preparing doughs according to Terra Breads' recipes and production standards.
- Accurately weigh, measure, and prepare ingredients for daily production.
- Learn mixing techniques, dough preparation methods, and the use of commercial mixing equipment.
- Assist with monitoring dough quality and consistency under the guidance of experienced team members.
- Organize ingredients, equipment, and work areas to support daily production.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow proper ingredient storage, stock rotation (FIFO), sanitation, and food safety procedures.
- Follow Terra Breads' policies and procedures, including SQF-HACCP, FoodSafe, and WorkSafeBC requirements.
- Perform other production duties as assigned.

The right fit:

- Some experience in baking, food production, or a commercial kitchen is an asset.
- Interested in learning bread production and developing technical mixing skills.




- Comfortable following recipes, measuring ingredients accurately, and paying attention to detail.
- Reliable, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a production team.
- Physically able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 kg, and perform repetitive manual tasks.
- Willing to learn, take direction, and develop new skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
- FoodSafe 1 certification and/or First Aid certification are assets.
