At Mr. Sushi, our Cooks (Line Cook & Food Preparation) play an important role in preparing delicious, high-quality meals for our customers. You'll be responsible for both food preparation and cooking during service, ensuring every dish meets our standards for quality, consistency, and presentation. Responsibilities

- Prepare ingredients, including cutting vegetables, portioning meats and seafood, and making sauces
- Cook and plate a variety of Japanese dishes according to established recipes and quality standards
- Handle customer orders efficiently during lunch and dinner service
- Maintain consistent food quality, portion sizes, and presentation
- Keep cooking stations clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Monitor ingredient levels and assist with inventory management and proper food storage
- Work closely with kitchen and sushi staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards

What We're Looking For

- Minimum of 1 year experience as a cook or line cook required
- Experience with Japanese cuisine is an asset,



but not required
- Able to handle both food preparation and cooking duties
- Reliable, hardworking, and positive attitude
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs (11 kg)
- Willingness to learn and follow established recipes and procedures
