Hey Neighbour Coffee Roasters is a community-focused specialty coffee roasting company dedicated to serving high-quality beverages and creating a welcoming environment. We're passionate about excellent coffee, genuine hospitality, and building long- lasting relationships with our guests.

We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Assistant Baker to join our team and help prepare fresh baked goods for our café!

Responsibilities including but are not limited to

- Preparing and baking fresh pastries, muffins, cookies, and other baked goods for the café.
- Following recipes and ensuring consistency and quality.
- Preparing ingredients and organizing daily baking prep.
- Washing dishes, baking trays, utensils, and other kitchen equipment.
- Maintaining a clean and organized baking area.
- Following food safety and sanitation standards.
- Monitoring ingredients and communicating when supplies need to be replenished.
- Ensuring baked goods are prepared and ready for café service.




- Working collaboratively with the café team to keep daily operations running smoothly.
- Following instructions and direction from the Lead Baker and management team.

Qualifications:

- Previous baking experience is required.
- A valid FoodSafe certificate is required.
- Must be available to work every Saturday and Sunday, with occasional additional shifts throughout the week.
- Additional hours will be available throughout November, with approximately 20 hours per week thereafter.
- Must be comfortable working early morning shifts.
- A genuine interest in baking and food preparation.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
- Reliable, dependable, and eager to learn.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
