Shop Floor Team Member - Cabinet & Millwork Shop

LK Custom Design Corp. is a commercial cabinet and millwork shop in Richmond Hill. We build custom cabinets and millwork for commercial jobs across the GTA.

We are looking for a recent team member to work on our shop floor. This is a hands-on job. You will help build, move, and finish cabinet and millwork parts, and help keep production moving every day.

Experience running a CNC is a bonus. A forklift ticket is a bonus. Neither one is required - we will train the right person.

What you will do

- Help build commercial cabinets and millwork parts

- Load, unload, and stage sheet goods and materials

- Help with cutting, assembly, sanding, finishing, and wrapping/packing

- Feed and help run shop machines, and help the CNC operator as needed

- Move stock and finished parts around the shop (forklift if you are certified)

- Keep your work area clean, safe, and organized

- Follow work orders and shop instructions, and flag problems early

Minimum requirements - you must have these

- Legally able to work in Canada

- Can get to our Richmond Hill shop reliably, on time, for the day shift

- Able to lift and handle sheet goods and cabinet parts (up to 50 lbs, repeatedly)

- Comfortable using basic hand tools and power tools,



and reading a tape measure

- Able to communicate in English on the shop floor, for work instructions and safety

- Safe work habits, shows up ready to work, and works well with the team

No cabinet shop experience is required if you meet the list above. We will train you.

Bonuses - nice to have, and worth more pay

- Experience running a CNC router (wood / cabinet shop CNC)

- A valid forklift licence / ticket, with experience moving sheet goods

- Cabinet, millwork, or woodworking experience (assembly, finishing, or install)

- Able to read shop drawings or cut lists

- Pay range $20 to $27 per hour, based on experience. CNC experience and a forklift ticket can put you at the higher end.
