Job Summary

We have 3 beds and 3 bathrooms available that we would like to accommodate Supportive roommates shares a home while providing respectful, person-centered assistance with daily routines and household life. This role combines companionship, practical caregiving, and transparent communication, supporting the individual’s preferences, independence, and comfort.

Responsibilities

- Offer companionship and practical caregiving support with daily activities, following the individual’s routines and preferences.
- Communicate respectfully, using American Sign Language when appropriate to support understanding and participation.
- Assist with medication administration according to established instructions and applicable procedures, and keep relevant information accurate.
- Coordinate household routines with the individual and other involved supporters, respecting privacy and personal choice.





Your impact: Consistent, considerate support helps the individual participate more comfortably in daily life and strengthens coordination among supporters.

Qualifications

Required: Communication skills, patience, reliability, and practical caregiving abilities are important for supporting daily routines, respecting personal preferences, and following medication instructions carefully. Preferred: Experience working with individuals with disabilities, familiarity with special education approaches, and American Sign Language can help you tailor support, encourage participation, and communicate effectively in a shared home.
