About Us

Intelligent Soil Recycling (ISR) operates a soil recycling facility in Vaughan, Ontario, specializing in processing hydrovac waste into reusable sand, aggregates, and other recovered materials.

We are seeking a reliable, mechanically inclined Afternoon Shift Supervisor to oversee daily plant operations, lead a team of operators, and ensure safe, efficient production.

This is a hands-on supervisory position suited to someone with strong leadership skills, heavy equipment experience, and a background in industrial, construction, recycling, or aggregate processing environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate afternoon shift employees to ensure safe, efficient plant operations.
- Oversee daily operation of the soil washing and recycling plant, including screens, conveyors, pumps, centrifuges, and material handling equipment.
- Monitor wastewater treatment and handling processes.
- Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, clean, and perform routine maintenance on industrial centrifuges and associated equipment.
- Monitor plant performance, identify operational issues, and troubleshoot equipment problems to minimize downtime.
- Perform and coordinate routine equipment inspections, cleaning, and preventative maintenance.
- Operate heavy equipment, including loaders, excavators, and skid steers, as required.
- Train and direct employees while enforcing company safety policies and standard operating procedures.
- Oversee truck movements, material receiving, loading,



and general yard operations.
- Maintain accurate daily production, maintenance, inspection, and downtime records.
- Ensure plant cleanliness, equipment upkeep, and proper end-of-shift procedures.
- Communicate operational issues, equipment concerns, and production updates to management.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Minimum 3 years of supervisory, lead hand, or team leadership experience, preferably in an industrial or heavy equipment environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, or skid steers is an asset.
- Experience in aggregate processing, recycling, soil washing, construction, or similar industries is an asset.
- Robust leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety.
