Panemor Bakery is looking for an experienced and skilled Part-Time Baker to join our team.

We are looking for someone who is confident working with artisan breads and pastries and understands the full baking process, from dough preparation and fermentation to shaping and baking. Ideally, the candidate should live in downtown Toronto and must be available for a daily start time of 5:00 a.m. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about high-quality baking. You should be comfortable working independently and maintaining consistent quality across products.

Experience with the following is required/preferred:

Sourdough bread

Croissants and laminated doughs

Scones

Baguettes and other artisan breads

Different varieties of bread and dough

Dough mixing, shaping, proofing, fermentation, and baking

Position: Part-Time Baker

Location: Panemor Bakery, Toronto

Schedule: Part-time; days and hours to be discussed based on availability and bakery needs.

Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods, including bread and pastries following established recipes and quality standards

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace in compliance with food safety regulations

Handle food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, mixing doughs,



and assembling baked items efficiently

Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying management of stock levels needed for daily operations

Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations when needed.

Provide secondary front-of-house support when needed, including: Operating the cash register and processing customer transactions.

Greeting customers and providing friendly customer service.

Preparing and serving coffee and other café beverages.

Preparing sandwiches and assisting with the sandwich station.

Proven experience in baking or pastry arts, with a strong understanding of food handling and safety procedures

Previous restaurant or food industry experience is highly desirable

Knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment operation

Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to details
